SEAA publishes monthly vehicle-registration documents whose underlying processing is attributed to ELSTAT, supplemented with data from SEAA members.

How source documents become reproducible registration statistics—and where the boundaries are.
What we measure
New registrations, not vehicles currently circulating. A missing measure is shown as unavailable, never converted to zero.
Validation
Each import records URL, filename, SHA-256 hash, parser version, status and warnings. National, territory, model and YTD totals must reconcile before publication.
Definitions
Market share = registrations ÷ comparable market total. YoY compares the same calendar month; YTD sums January through the selected month; rolling periods use only consecutive published months.
Geography
Location quotient = a brand’s territory share ÷ its national share. Values above 1 indicate an over-index in that territory, not causation.
Powertrains
BEV and PHEV totals and current model rows come from dedicated SEAA rechargeable-segment reports. Petrol, diesel, HEV, PHEV, BEV and LPG shares come from SEAA’s monthly press release and remain separate from detailed-file counts when the official totals differ.
Charging infrastructure
MYFAH locations, EVSEs and connectors are imported as separate measures. Daily snapshots establish first-seen history; mutable source update timestamps are never presented as installation dates.
EV specifications
Greek prices and availability require Greek manufacturer evidence. Reviewed OpenEV records may fill technical fields as European references, but remain visibly separate from Greek-market claims.
